At the Clinic
Prenatal and postpartum care is provided at our beautiful clinic in Port Coquitlam.

Hospital Births
We are delighted to care for labouring clients and deliver babies at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster. RCH is well-known for its high-quality care, both for low-risk and higher-risk patients. And although we always hope to not need their services, RCH’s NICU is one of the best in Canada!
Postnatal care
Our team at Inlet Birth provide care to both the birther and newborn for six weeks after delivery. We offer one postnatal home visit a few days after your baby is born, if your address is in our catchment area. If you don’t live in our catchment area, your care provider will discuss meeting at our clinic for postnatal care.

Our Programs
Community Birth Program
The Inlet Birth team provides collaborative, interdisciplinary care. Our team is comprised of midwives, doulas, lactation consultants, and nurses who provide interdisciplinary care to clients. Registered midwives who specialize in low-risk delivery are on call in 12-hour shifts. Clients will be offered either group-based care in the Connecting Pregnancy model, or individual visits. If your risk profile changes, we’ll consult with local specialists and expand your care plan as necessary, and we will stay involved in a supportive role. Other features of our unique team include a home visit after delivery and universal lactation consultant support for up to six weeks after your birth.

Inlet Community Birth Program rests on the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work in this territory.
