Hospital Births
We are delighted to care for labouring clients and deliver babies at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster. RCH is well-known for its high-quality care, both for low-risk and higher-risk patients. And although we always hope to not need their services, RCH’s NICU is one of the best in Canada!
Postpartum home visits
Our team at Inlet Birth offers postpartum home visits for the first week after your baby is born if your address is in our catchment area. If you don’t live in our catchment area, your care provider will discuss meeting at our clinic for postpartum visits.
Our Programs
Community Birth Program
The Inlet Birth team provides collaborative, interdisciplinary care. Our team is comprised of midwives, family physicians, and nurses who provide interdisciplinary care to clients. Registered midwives and family physicians who specialize in low-risk delivery are on call in 12-hour shifts. If your risk profile changes, we’ll consult with local specialists and expand your care plan as necessary, and we will stay involved in a supportive role. Other features of our unique team include home visits after delivery and universal lactation consultant support for up to six weeks after your birth.
